Doors are often neglected in being cleaned by most households.
Doors can hold down the fort of the indoors of your home and the outside world, grant you access to anywhere between those places and yet every day they are overlooked when cleaning season comes.
Here are some easy door-cleaning tips to clean these stalwart entrances and exits of your home:
Front doors
Front doors of your house usually take the brunt of dirt and grime that comes from the outside.
Be sure to scrub this door as much as you can to get rid of dust that may have clung on to it with soap and water. Clean it thoroughly and then dry it with a paper towel to get rid of any residual traces that may remain.
Cupboard, bathroom, and closet doors
Usually, you won’t need much other than paper towels and maybe water to clean these for your home.
But if you wish to disinfect them, sponges and towels can get the job done as germs cling on to these easily. Just make sure to clean these too once you’re done with them as to not spread germs elsewhere in your house.
Backdoors
Your front doors aren’t the only ones holding down the fort for your house. But these can also get dirty the same way as the front doors can.
Just as you did with the front doors, make sure to dust these heavily and then scrub them with paper towels and soapy water. Additionally, don’t overlook to clean the areas where shoes may be kicked off or where feet have been wiped, as the mess may get on the bottom of the doors.
Glass doors
Glass doors require a bit more care and delicacy when being cleaned.
Soap and paper towels won’t be enough for glass doors, that’s for sure. Make sure you also have glass cleaners and do not forget to wipe down both sides. Luckily, the messes on these doors are easy to spot and hard to miss.
